Annual Reports

The Adlington Town Council Annual Report is a summary of the council’s work, achievements, and priorities over the past financial year. It provides residents with a clear overview of how the council has represented the community, delivered services, and managed public resources. It is prepared for presentation and approval at the Annual Town Meeting in May of each year.

The Annual Report combines an overview from the Town Mayor and from the Clerk. Each Town Mayor outlines what they have done in leading the Town Council’s own civic and community programme, the raising of funds for their charitable cause, and in representing Adlington externally in neighbouring Townships. The Clerk’s report summarises the year in Adlington including key initiatives, council decisions, and progress against local priorities. It may also include updates from individual councillors, committees, and working groups, as well as highlights from community events, partnerships, and initiatives supported by the council.

The report gives an overview on the council’s finances, including a breakdown of annual income and expenditure, although more detailed financial data is published separately in line with UK Government and legislation requirements as the Annual Goverance and Accountability Return (AGAR). These documents are listed by year on the website.

The Annual Report is an important tool for transparency and public engagement. It helps residents understand what the council is doing on their behalf and how it is working to improve the Village for everyone.
