SPID update: Railway Road, Adlington.

A SPID was placed on Railway Road in 2023, positioned close to the children’s nursery and not far from the entrance to St Paul’s Church and Primary School. The location was selected in accordance with guidance provided at that time.

The data was recently downloaded and made for interesting reading!

Analysis of the data provides the following:

• Data collection period 1st August 2023 to 30th September 2025

• 2.2 million vehicle movements recorded

• 97% of vehicle speeds were below 30mph

• 52% of vehicle speeds were below 20 mph

After so much traffic, its good to see such a high percentage of vehicles moving within the speed limit.
